Static Converter Cabinet for Excavators EGK-4US and EGK-8I – Reliable Power Supply

Static converter cabinet (SCB) is designed to replace the auxiliary three-machine unit (small electric machine group) of excavators EKG-4US, EKG-8I, ESH 6/45 ESH 10/70.
The SHP provides: power supply of the synchronous motor excitation winding; smooth acceleration of the synchronous motor at start-up; power supply of control circuits with 110 V DC voltage.
The effect of implementation of the SHP: elimination of three-machine converter unit and related maintenance and repair works; reduction of electric power consumption up to 5%; voltage stabilisation, elimination of voltage drops under the action of starting currents; reduction of starting shock currents on the synchronous motor winding and absence of starting torque shocks on mechanics; preservation of stable operation of the excavator when the mains voltage drops up to 30%.
