Corrosion Rate Sensor DSK-1 "Mendeleevets" for Monitoring Underground Metal Structures

The corrosion rate sensor DSK-1 "Mendeleevets" is designed to assess the corrosion rate of underground metal structures. The principle of operation is based on the measurement of the electrical resistance of the active element of the sensor, which changes under corrosive action. The sensor provides: <ul> <li>- measurement of corrosion rate;</li> <li>storage of measurement results in the internal non-volatile memory;</li> <li>transmission of measurement results via RS232 interface.</li> </ul>The sensor allows to evaluate the efficiency of electrochemical protection of underground metal structures and to determine the degree of corrosion hazard. The sensor is installed permanently in the ground, in the immediate vicinity of the underground steel structure.
