Description
Air-filtering installation for sampling of aerosols from atmospheric air Automatic installation for atmospheric air radioactivity control "VFU" (hereinafter referred to as "VFU") according to TU 26.30.60-1044-23151859-19 is designed to measure the flow rate and volume of air pumped through the filtering fabric. The unit allows to accumulate anthropogenic and natural radionuclides from atmospheric air aerosols, and further, accordingly, to estimate volumetric activity of radionuclides in atmospheric air.
The gamma-quantum detection unit (GD) included in the HFC is designed for preliminary estimation of gamma-quantum flux near the filter of aerosol activity accumulated on the filter fabric.
It is recommended to use the HFC in the zone of possible scattering of gas-aerosol releases of radionuclides from the radiation facility.
The air-filtering unit carries out:
