Adhesion additive Azol 1003

Adhesion additive Azol 1003 is used to improve the adhesion of bitumen and polymer-bitumen binders to the mineral part of asphalt concrete mixtures, as well as a stabiliser of bitumen properties in the production of asphalt concrete mixtures in road construction. Adhesion additive Azol 1003 is a surface-active substance (surfactant) of ampholytic type based on natural products and phosphatides of vegetable oils. Azol 1003 improves adhesion of binder to stone materials made of acidic and basic rocks and their mixtures (crushed gravel). The conducted studies have shown that the adhesion additive Azol 1003 produced by JSC "Kotlass Chemical Plant" when introduced into viscous petroleum road bitumen allows: -provide adhesion of bitumen with mineral part of asphalt-concrete mixture of acidic and basic rocks and their mixtures, thereby increasing compressive strength, shear- and crack resistance of the pavement; -reduce water saturation of asphalt-concrete mixtures, increase water resistance and dura...
