35 kV Outdoor Vacuum Circuit Breakers VR35NS for Efficient Electrical Switching

The switches are designed for switching of electric circuits of three-phase alternating current of frequency 50(60) Hz with rated voltage 35 kV in normal and emergency modes of operation in networks with isolated and partially grounded neutral. VR35NS are used in open switchgear 35 kV complete transformer substations KTPB-220/35/6(10), KTPB-110/35/6(10), KTPB-35/6(10) and switchgear blocks of traction substations of railways, as well as for replacement of exhausted air and oil circuit breakers at operating substations. The switch is a switching device with three poles mounted on a common frame. Organosilicon insulation is used in the design of poles. This made it possible to refuse from filling the pole with fluid materials, which significantly increased the reliability and fire safety of the switch. VR35NS have an electromagnetic actuator, the operation of which is based on the principle of two-position "magnetic latch"
