JBOD (disc array) is a set of multiple hard drives. All the discs in the product are combined into one common logical disc.

Thus, instead of multiple individual discs, a JBOD allows the operator to see one larger disc by adding up the capacity of all discs connected to the JBOD.

HDDs or SSDs with SAS or SATA interfaces are used as storage media.
