The waterjet cutting machine is designed for cutting sheet material, processing pipes, and other types of parts, from various materials.
- Waterjet cutting is an accelerated erosion process performed on a selected workpiece.
- During the process, high pressure water is "shot" through a ruby or diamond nozzle into a mixing chamber. This pressure creates a vacuum and draws the garnet (abrasive) sand into a jet, which is then directed onto the surface of the workpiece placed on the machining table.
