Lyfferon® has antiviral, antitumour, immunomodulatory activity.
Liffferon® undergoes breakdown during parenteral administration and is partially excreted unchanged, mainly via the kidneys. Like all interferons, the drug may cause the appearance of antibodies to interferon in some individuals during prolonged use, which leads to reduction of therapeutic effect.
The drug is identical to human leukocyte interferon
