The device has a drive element designed to transfer the device by mechanical action from the standby mode to the activation mode. The activated state of the device is reset by means of a special reset key.
The same key is used to separate the housing from the device base. The main power source of the device is a lithium battery with a nominal operating voltage of 3.0 V and a capacity of 1.2 A?h.
