Whiteness meter is designed to measure the whiteness index (zonal reflection coefficient) of flour. The device is used at the enterprises of flour-milling and baking industry.
The whiteness meter is made in a single housing and includes two independent photometric units, built-in standard, electric sample clamping device, indication and control unit, power supply. Two photometric units allow simultaneous measurement of two flour samples and automatic calculation of the average value.
In this way the measurement of two samples according to GOST is realised. An inbuilt reference standard is used in each measurement to compensate for random factors affecting the result and ensures long-term stability of the instrument readings.
The electric sample clamping device allows to compact the flour surface with a fixed force and press it against the optical windows. The integrated software controls the clamping unit, measures and displays the calculated whiteness.
