FAQ
•What bed sizes do Russian factories produce for export?
Standard Russian sizes are 90/120/140/160/180/200 cm width × 190/200 cm length. We can also manufacture EU sizes (140×200, 160×200, 180×200), US sizes (Queen 60"×80", King 76"×80", Cal King 72"×84") and UK sizes (Double 4'6", King 5', Super King 6') on OEM basis. Specify mattress standard at PO stage — slat pitch and frame dimensions are tuned accordingly.
•What is the MOQ for export bed frames?
MOQ depends on construction: 50 units for stocked models (panel beds with particleboard/MDF), 30 units for upholstered beds, 20 units for solid-wood (birch/oak/pine) frames. Mixed-container MOQ from 100 units total (3-4 SKU mix) is common for first orders.
•Slat base or solid platform — what do you supply?
Both. Standard slat bases use 14-18 birch/beech plywood lamellas on rubber suspensions (load 200-400 kg). Solid platforms use 16-22 mm chipboard or MDF with central reinforcement bar. Adjustable lift-up mechanisms (gas-spring, 800-1200N) with under-bed storage box are available on 70% of models.
•Which certifications cover beds for US/EU markets?
For US: CARB Phase 2 / TSCA Title VI for composite wood, California Prop 65 labeling, CPSIA for kids' beds, flammability per 16 CFR 1633 (if mattress included). For EU: EN 1725 (domestic furniture safety), EN 14749 (storage), REACH/CLP, FSC/PEFC for wood. We provide test reports from accredited labs (SGS/TUV/Intertek) per PO.
•Lead times and FOB ports?
Production lead time 35-50 days from PO + 30% TT deposit. FOB St. Petersburg for EU/MENA/Americas, FOB Novorossiysk for Black Sea/MENA, FOB Vladivostok for APAC/US West Coast. Sea freight adds 25-45 days depending on route.
•How many beds fit in a 40HQ container?
Knocked-down (KD) panel beds: 180-220 queen-size sets per 40HQ. Upholstered beds with headboards (KD): 90-120 sets. Solid-wood beds (KD): 100-140 sets. We always ship KD with hardware bagged and labeled per SKU; assembly instructions in EN/AR/ES/local language on request.
•Payment terms for first-time buyers?
Standard TT 30% deposit / 70% against B/L copy. LC at sight against shipping documents available for orders > USD 40,000. For repeat customers we offer TT 20/80 or open account 30 days. No CIF terms on first order.
•OEM/private-label options?
Full OEM from 50 units per model: custom dimensions, your fabric/leatherette swatches, headboard design, your logo on frame and packaging, custom carton artwork. ODM also available — we share 200+ existing designs and you select.
•What materials are used in headboards and upholstery?
Frame: kiln-dried Russian birch/pine LVL or chipboard E1. Headboard padding: PU foam 25-35 density, optional spring inserts. Fabric: woven polyester (200+ colors), velour, faux leather, genuine leather on request. Naturals: linen and cotton blends are available.
