VR6 Series Vacuum Circuit Breakers for Efficient Power Management

Vacuum circuit breakers of BP6 series are designed for switching AC electric circuits with rated voltage 6(10) kV and frequency 50(60) Hz in normal and emergency modes of operation in systems with isolated or partially grounded neutral. Switches ??6 are used in auxiliary switchgears of thermal and nuclear power plants. Switches of BP6 series are manufactured in earthquake-resistant version and are used for operation in premises at the height of 0...20,4 m at the maximum design earthquake (MDE) of 9 points on MSK-64 scale.

Switches consist of three poles with cast vacuum arc suppression chambers (VAC), placed on a common base. The electromagnetic actuator, which ensures fixation of the circuit breaker in two positions ("O" and "B") on magnetic latches, is placed in the circuit breaker body. The control electromagnets installed in the actuator have a high speed, which ensures a low intrinsic time of operation of the switch.
