Description
Purpose:
Separate determination of calcite, dolomite, siderite and insoluble residue in crushed samples (core, drill cuttings) of rocks.
Scope:
Carbonatometer is designed for use in geological and technological research stations, in mobile and stationary geological-geochemical and petrophysical laboratories.
Principle of operation:
It is based on the control of the change in the pressure of carbon dioxide gas released during the interaction of carbonate substances of the crushed sample with hydrochloric acid solution, and the subsequent calculation of the mineral composition of the rock.
Methodological and software are attached to the device. The device can work autonomously without a PC.
The value of the percentage of calcite, dolomite and siderite is displayed on the liquid crystal display, taking into account the calibration coefficient.
