The metal detector device allows to determine the localisation of a metal object on a person's body, in a person's clothes. When a person passes through the arch of the metal detector and a prohibited object is detected on his body or in his clothes, the corresponding detection zone is illuminated with red light and a characteristic sound signal is emitted.
