Static thyristor excitation system (STS) is designed to supply excitation windings of generators with automatically regulated direct (rectified) current. The STS is a static thyristor excitation system made according to the self-excitation scheme with 100% redundancy of power converters and regulation channels, with a full set of excitation system protections based on an industrial processor.
