The conveyor is suitable for waste with a moisture content of up to 90% and pH 6-8. The screw conveyor is a chute or a sealed pipe inside of which a screw rotates.

The auger can be axial or non-axial. Screw conveyors are not suitable for handling sticky and highly abrasive substances. The Vökker screw conveyor is available in horizontal or inclined version.

In the inclined version, additional dewatering of the sludge takes place.
