Purpose of the set: Realisation of modern BB methods of search of damages in a light, compact complex with autonomous power supply. Preliminary localisation of both low-resistance (< 1 kOhm) and high-resistance (> 1 kOhm) CL faults by the following burn-free methods: pulse method (method of pulse reflectometry, TDR) pulse-arc method (method of reflection from short-term electric arc, ARM) method of oscillating discharge by current (wave by current, ICE).Field of application: Power cables of all types: Power cables with impregnated paper insulation in lead or aluminium sheath, Power cables with rubber insulation, Power cables with polyvinyl chloride insulation, Power cables with polyethylene insulation, Heating cables of main types: resistive type self-regulating type, etc.
