Panel Evaporator IP for Ammonia Refrigeration Systems - Model IP-240

Panel evaporators of IP type (hereinafter referred to as "evaporators") are designed for operation as part of ammonia refrigeration units (ARU). The evaporators are used for cooling liquid coolants (water, brine) and are used at enterprises processing food products.Sections of the panel evaporator consist of pressed panels. Each heat exchanger panel is two stamped sheets of 2.5 mm thickness, welded together by roller welding.

As a result, convex-concave surfaces of the required panel configuration are formed, forming cavities in the form of channels, providing high turbulence of the refrigerant flow, which leads to high heat transfer coefficients through the heat exchange surface. This particular panel design is recognised as the most effective and is characterised by a significant reduction in ammonia intensity compared to similar panel designs based on the connection of steel pipes welded with steel plates.
