Description

The GShM series noise generators are designed to be used as a measure of noise power spectral density difference when working with noise figure meters, spectrum analysers with noise figure meter option and vector circuit analysers. The source of the noise voltage in the GSHM is a coreless avalanche-span diode mounted in a hybrid integrated circuit module, which is coupled to a precision microwave junction using an attenuator. The LPD is powered through an in-built current stabiliser, which ensures the stability of the SPMS level regardless of the stability of the noise generator supply voltage.
