Krayt K4-H8

Crate K4-H8 is a product of the Horizon optical transport platform. Horizont equipment is used in the unified telecommunications network of the Russian Federation as a receiving and transmitting device for digital fibre-optic transmission lines. HORIZONT equipment supports the technology of dense spectral channel densification (DWDM) and protocols of optical transport networks OTN. Frame K4-H8 is designed to accommodate up to 3 full-slot or 6 half-slot devices of the Horizon platform, two control units CU-H5, contains two power input units PEM-H3, a block of fans FB-K4, provides slot devices with power supply, forced air cooling and transmission of control commands from the control unit to the devices installed in the slots.
