Capsular rings (lens capsule stabilisers) are unclosed rings of 2 types and are used in combination with implantation of standard (classical) intraocular lenses in surgical treatment of complicated forms of cataract and allow to clearly control the size of the intercapsular space and the eye chamber.
Implantation of Intracapsular Rings (ICR) is indicated for patients with pronounced weakness or extensive defects of the ligamentous apparatus, which are accompanied by subluxation of the lens.
