Description
Capsular rings (lens capsule stabilisers) are used in combination with implantation of standard (classical) intraocular lenses in surgical treatment of complicated forms of cataract and allow clear control of the size of the intercapsular space and the eye chamber.
VSC implantation is indicated in patients with pronounced weakness or extensive defects of the ligamentous apparatus, which are accompanied by subluxation of the crystalline lens.
