Description

A non-specialised portable hand-held surgical instrument designed for cutting various tissues during open surgical operations; the product is not intended to be used only in operations on a specific area of the body/hole and their scope of application is not limited to a specific area of clinical practice. It may also additionally be used for cutting suture and other materials associated with surgical procedures. It consists of two blades with handles; the blades exert a cutting action when they clamp together, with the sharp edges coming one behind the other. Various designs and sizes are available; some models may have carbide inserts along the cutting edges.
