Description

A sterile non-absorbable metallic tubular tubular mesh structure coated with an absorbable polymer containing a drug, intended for implantation through a catheter for delivery into a coronary artery (or saphenous vein graft) to maintain its patency, usually in patients with symptomatic atherosclerotic heart disease. The drug is slowly released as the polymer resorbs and is designed to inhibit vascular restenosis by reducing smooth muscle cell proliferation. Some models can be implanted through the bifurcation of the coronary artery. Disposable products required for implantation may also be included.
