Electric traction elastic couplers of EMSE type are designed to ensure the safety of train traffic and for the passage of traction current in DC and AC electric traction.
The couplers serve as elements of the reverse traction rail network and provide continuity of the circuit for the channelisation of traction currents, electric heating currents within the feeder zone and stable supply of electric power to the rolling electric transport; functioning of the signalling and ALS rail circuits..
