Description

The Astra-Traffic complexes (hereinafter referred to as complexes) are designed to measure the speed of vehicles (hereinafter referred to as vehicles) in the control zone and on the controlled long road section in automatic mode, to measure the current time synchronised with the national UTC(SU) coordinated time scale, to measure the current navigation parameters and to determine on their basis the coordinates of the complexes location in the plan. The complexes are designed to fulfil the following functions: - fixation of the vehicle and identification of the state registration plate (hereinafter - GRZ) of the vehicle in the traffic flow; - measurement of the speed of the vehicle in the control zone; - measurement of the speed of the vehicle on a long section of the road (between two control boundaries); - detection of traffic violations and photo-video fixation of evidentiary materials for any traffic violations; - archiving and storage of evidentiary information.
