GIS are designed for operation in non-explosive, not containing conductive dust, aggressive gases and vapours destroying metal and insulation, environment with the type of atmosphere according to GOST 15150 - I and II. GIS are designed for all types of power plants, substations and power supply systems, including nuclear power facilities.
