They are designed to provide working and backup power supply of the main electrical receivers (relay protection and automation devices, emergency control devices, signalling devices, control circuits of switching devices, automation and signalling), as well as to provide backup power supply of devices of automated process control system, communication devices, emergency lighting system. Interconnected cabinets, as well as, if necessary, a separate battery on racks, represent a system of operational direct current. The number of cabinets and their names are determined depending on the characteristics of the elements used in the cabinets in accordance with the requirements of the customers.
