Asynchronous Traction Motor DTA-1200A for Electric Locomotives

Electric motor traction asynchronous DTA-1200A is designed to drive wheel pairs of mainline two-system passenger electric locomotive EP20. The traction motor is structurally united with the traction reducer into a wheel-motor unit installed on the bogie as a single assembly unit with three mounting points: two on the reducer and one on the traction motor. The traction motor DTA-1200A is a three-phase asynchronous electric machine with squirrel cage rotor with adjustable speed.

The motor stator has a housing-less design. The wrapped stator together with bus bars is impregnated in silicon-organic resin by vacuum-injection method. The rotor winding is made of copper rectangular rods.

The motor is equipped with sensors for temperature control of stator winding and rotor bearing.
