Arc Short Circuit Protection Device UNIT-DZ for Reliable Distribution Systems

The device is designed for use in secondary switching circuits of switchgears 6-110 kV, with alternating, direct or rectified alternating operating current. The device is designed to detect light flashes of an open electric arc in switchgear cabinets 0,4-35 kV and the issuance of control signals to the relay protection and automation circuits. The device can be used as the main or backup protection against short circuits accompanied by an open electric arc, independently or in conjunction with other relay protection devices built on both microprocessor and electromechanical element base.
