Description
The mannequin is a life-size adult torso. It is intended for practising the Heimlich technique (removal of airway obstruction by a foreign body) The student is offered to free the airways from a foreign body, creating a strong flow of air from the compressed lungs with the help of abdominal thrust or blows on the back, having previously determined the place for embracing the choked person and the force of squeezing. If the technique is performed correctly, the airway is released and the foreign body falls out. The anatomical landmarks of the phantoms include the sternum, biceps, and jugular fossa.
