CAST-B is a laminated pressed material made on the basis of modified phenolic resins of the resolic type and glass structural fabrics. It can work for a long time at temperatures up to 250?C, withstands short-term exposure to temperatures up to +750?C.
KAST-B has increased heat resistance and higher mechanical properties in comparison with other grades of sheet composite materials, is characterised by low thermal conductivity, sufficiently high dielectric characteristics. It is used as a structural material intended for manufacturing of products that operate for a long time in extreme temperature operating conditions.
Due to its low thermal conductivity it can be used as a heat insulating material. It is used for facing of vibro furnaces, for electrode plates of electrodialysis machines, in machines for production of chemical fibres, for manufacturing of parts of radio engineering and electrotechnical purposes...
