Diameter (thickness) measurement is performed along the length of the perpendicular between two parallel straight lines touching the side surface of the log from opposite sides. Depending on the model, diameter measurement can take place in one plane (VECTOR-1D) or in two planes (VECTOR-2D).
Log length measurement is based on the shortest distance between the ends. The volume of logs is determined by summing the volumes of cylinders according to GOST R 52117-2003.
