High heat output is not only due to the 100W power of the tool, but also due to the classic heater design with a tight side clamping of the tip along its entire length. The temperature sensor is located at the main point where the tip is pressed against the heater, opposite the fixing screw.
The soldering iron heats up quickly and solders solid contacts in a couple of seconds. The well-balanced rubberised orthopaedic handle rests comfortably in the hand.
As a result of successful thermal design of the tool, the handle does not get hotter than 40 degrees Celsius in the most demanding working conditions.
Materials used in the soldering iron heater include: heat-resistant insulation for the heater winding, and a heat-conductive impregnation that fills the winding voids for better heat transfer to the heater core..
