whenever potentially dangerous items that may contain harmful microorganisms and pose a threat get into the hands of employees. Decontamination is carried out by irradiating the above mentioned items with a powerful stream of ultraviolet (UV) light of UV-C (UVC) range with maximum bactericidal radiation at a wavelength of 254 nM.
It is known that this wavelength with a probability of 99.99% destroys all known viruses, bacteria, fungi, etc. More precisely, it destroys the chains of DNA/RNA molecules responsible for replication.
Special ozone-free lamps made of uviolet glass are chosen as a source of UV radiation.
