UPZ is designed for use as a closing and sealing device between the wall of RVSP type tanks and pontoon of BPA-20030 000 (50 000) type and to ensure centring of the pontoon in order to ensure fire and explosion safety and reduce losses of light fractions of petroleum products from evaporation. In terms of application the gates are referred to the products of continuous long-term use according to GOST 27.003.
The gate design is repairable. Reliability of the gate in operating conditions is characterised by the service life of the pontoon (not less than 20 years) from the moment of manufacture, with an inter-repair period of 10 years; The gate in terms of ergonomics corresponds to GOST 12.2049.
Preservation of oil product temperature is directly related to viscosity and, consequently, to energy consumption during subsequent pumping through the main pipeline or filling into tanker tanks. The gate with pontoon carpet covers the surface of the product, thus excluding the explosion and fire hazard between the surface of the gate with pontoon and the product surface.
