Crate K10-H8 is a product of the optical transport platform "HORIZONT". GORIZONT equipment is used in the unified telecommunication network of the Russian Federation as a receiving and transmitting device for digital fibre-optic transmission lines.
The GORIZONT equipment supports the technology of dense spectral channel densification (DWDM) and protocols of optical transport networks OTN. Frame K10-H8 is designed to accommodate up to 12 full-slot or 24 half-slot devices of the HORIZONT platform, two control units CU-H5, contains two power input units PEM-H3, three fan units FB-K4, provides slot devices with power supply, forced air cooling and transmission of control commands from the control unit to the devices installed in the slots.
