The design of the EMP-PB is based on a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with an angular displacement sensor (multi-turn absolute encoder) installed. The motor transmits the torque to a gear reducer.
The torque is then transmitted to a roller screw mechanical transmission, which converts the rotary motion into a linearly reciprocating motion.
