-Principle of action of MBE type stations (membrane bipolar electrolysers) is based on decomposition by electrolysis of common table salt with obtaining of disinfectant IN PLACE.
When obtaining disinfectant at disinfection stations of MBE type:
- transport and storage of liquid chlorine and hypochlorite are excluded,
- group intoxication of station personnel and population in the adjacent territories is excluded, as there is no possibility of chlorine volley discharge,
- no chlorine water curtain localisation system is required and the plant is not to be enclosed by a two-metre high fence,
- there is no need to organise an emergency warning system,
- there is no need to organise gas rescue teams,
- continuous MBE type units, i.e. there is no need for acid washing of the electrolyser,
electrolysis by-products do not require utilisation.
