Atomic absorption spectrometers "KVANT.Z" are designed for quantitative elemental analysis of liquid samples of different origin and composition (drinking and natural water, industrial wastewater, solutions-mineralisates obtained after appropriate treatment of solid and gaseous samples). The principle of operation is based on the method of electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry.
The analysed sample is vaporised in a graphite tube furnace heated by an electric current. The free atoms of the element to be determined absorb the resonance radiation, with maximum absorption occurring at the analytical resonance spectral line used for AA measurements.
The graphite furnace is placed in a longitudinal alternating magnetic field. The atomic absorptivity is uniquely determined only by the concentration of the element to be determined in the analysed solution and is independent of spectral interferences (non-selective absorption).
The concentration of the element is determined according to the calibration relationship.
