•Is EAEU Ex certification accepted in my country, or do I need ATEX/IECEx?
Acceptance varies. EAEU Ex certificates (TR CU 012) are based on the same IEC 60079 standards as ATEX and IECEx, and many operators in Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa accept them directly or after a local review. Some international oil companies mandate IECEx specifically — check your end client's specification and tell suppliers, as a number of Russian factories hold dual certification.
•Can intrinsically safe barriers work with field instruments from other brands?
Yes — IS barriers and signal isolators are generic interface devices. You match entity parameters (voltage, current, capacitance, inductance) between barrier and field device, regardless of brand. Suppliers provide full entity parameter sheets; send your instrument list and they will propose suitable barrier models for each loop.
•What lead time should an EPC contractor plan for a project package?
Catalog items such as Ex lights, call points and junction boxes typically ship in 2–4 weeks. Engineered items — camera stations, control panels, custom enclosure assemblies — take 45–75 days. For a full project package, plan procurement 3–4 months before required-on-site date including sea freight and customs.
•How do these products handle desert heat and coastal corrosion?
Specify ambient conditions in the inquiry. Standard ratings often cover minus 60 to plus 40–55 degrees Celsius; high-ambient versions and marine-grade stainless steel or coated aluminum enclosures are available across most product families. For coastal Gulf installations request 316 stainless hardware and confirm the IP66 or higher ingress rating.
•What spare parts and support are realistic after commissioning?
Ex equipment is designed for minimal intervention, but order spare lamps or LED modules, glands, gaskets and a few spare detectors with the main shipment — this avoids re-certification questions with mixed-brand replacements later. Technical support is remote: documentation, wiring assistance, firmware where applicable. Larger factories can arrange supervision visits for major projects.
