The cable contains a core of modular construction with a central power element made of dielectric rod, around which optical modules with freely laid fibres are twisted. The free space in the optical modules and in the cable core is filled with hydrophobic gel.
An intermediate sheath made of polyethylene is overlaid on the core. Armour of steel (or steel rope) wires is spirally applied on the intermediate sheath.
