Welding rectifier VDU-1204 U3 in a set with welding automatic machine is designed for welding under a layer of flux products from carbon and alloy steels, and can also be used for air-arc cutting (gouging) with carbon electrode in the mode of falling external characteristic.

It has three types of external voltampere characteristics: two rigid and one falling characteristic for welding and surfacing under the flux layer;
Falling external characteristic for submerged arc welding, as well as for air-arc cutting (gouging) with carbon electrode;
