The desalination plant is a complex high-pressure system, which filters seawater with the help of reverse osmosis module (RO-module), dividing it into two streams: a stream of desalinated water (permeate), fed into the storage tank, and concentrated salt solution (concentrate), which is discharged into the drain.
The reverse osmosis module is a semi-permeable membrane installed in a hermetically sealed enclosure that allows water molecules to pass through and does not allow mechanical particles, molecules and ions of other dissolved components, bacteria and viruses to pass through.
