The A7 VHF antenna is refined by computer modelling and perfected on a test bench by measuring the phase and amplitude current distribution epuries along the antenna structure. Its internal structure is equivalent to a 1/2 + 3 x 5/8 pattern. It is a classical collinear series-fed antenna using phase shifter coils. Thanks to its collapsible design, it is easy to configure it to work at any frequency within the operating range.Unlike Chinese analogues with a radiator in 1/2, the antenna A7 VHF uses really 5/8 radiators, which adds to its gain. The narrowed bandwidth is easily tuned according to the attached graphs.Adjusting the antenna for maximum gain for a given frequency is to change the length of the radiating elements. The design of the matching device allows the antenna to be precisely tuned to the minimum VSWR without making changes to the radiating structure. This allows you to get at the operating frequency of ideal coherence.
