Universal Television Camera UTK-4 for Short-Wave Infrared Applications

The UTK-4 modification (without lens) is a camera in the short-wave infrared region of the spectrum, including power supplies and electronics for signal processing, based on a hybrid TV device. The hybrid TV device for the short-wave infrared (SWIR) range uses a photocathode with a pulling electric field (TE-photocathode) based on InP/InGaAs heterostructure, which provides high sensitivity in the range of 0.951.65 µm. This gives a significant (several times) increase in the range of action possible due to the transition to the range of the spectrum up to 1.65 ?m.The use of this sensor with laser illumination will provide observation of the image with high resolution, as well as detection and identification of the object at a distance of up to 20 km.

This is 3-3.5 times more than the best "mid- and far-infrared range" surveillance systems. There is also the possibility of observing objects at a given distance with different depth of observation (mode "gated viewing").
