Unilateral Ankle Joint Apparatus AN0-27 for Correction and Stabilization

Unilateral ankle joint apparatus is designed for correction, fixation and unloading of the lower limb. It consists of tibia and foot sleeves connected unilaterally by a hinge that provides movement in the ankle joint in the sagittal plane. The ankle joint is a lock-less, hinge joint with support for an overhanging foot.

It is manufactured by vacuum moulding according to an individual plaster cast from thermoplastic materials, by lamination of carbon and textile materials with resin. The sleeve is decorated with thermal paper. The design of the footbed of the finished product allows the recipient to wear standard footwear.

A rubber sole is allowed for limb length compensation and walking comfort. The softening inlay is made of foam material and is sanitised.The fastening is in the form of a textile clasp providing an adjustable degree of fixation of the lower limb segments.
