Threaded Orthopedic Screw PBF for Internal Bone Fixation (12.0mm; 80-110mm)

A small non-sterile threaded rod with a slotted head, typically used for internal orthopaedic fixation of fractures by screwing into bone to hold plates or pins in bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilisation of bone as well as attachment of soft tissue to bone; it is made of material that does not chemically degrade or resorb as a result of the body's natural processes (including metals suitable for implantation such as surgical steel, titanium alloy or carbon fibre). It is available in several varieties: cortical, spondylar, ankle, navicular, partially threaded and fully threaded, self-tapping and cannulated. Any of these can be a "shrinking screw" and used to achieve compression between bone fragments. This product should be sterilised before use.
