Synchronous Traction Unit AT 2 S-2800/400H for Passenger Diesel Locomotives

The unit is a component of the diesel-generator set of the passenger diesel locomotive TEP70BS and is designed: for powering through the rectifier unit of the traction collector motors; for powering the excitation system of the traction and auxiliary generator; for powering the locomotive's own needs; for powering the train power supply system. The unit includes traction synchronous and auxiliary synchronous generators, assembled in one housing. The unit is made with one bearing unit, with a flange on the side opposite to the slip rings for connection to the diesel crankshaft through a coupling.

On the slip ring side, the unit is manufactured with a free shaft end. The unit casing has platforms for installation of starter-generator and power supply rectifier filter. The electric motor meets the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 001/2011.
