Synchronous Traction Generator GTSN-2800 for Diesel Locomotive Applications

Generator is a component of diesel-generator set of diesel locomotives TE116U, 2(3)TE25KM and is designed for power supply through rectifier set of DC traction motors. The traction generator is a twelve-pole synchronous electric machine with independent excitation and distinct rotor poles. The traction generator is made with one bearing unit, with a flange on the side opposite to the contact rings for connection to the diesel crankshaft through a coupling. There is a design version of the generator with a tapered shaft end on the side of the slip rings. The generator housing has platforms for installation of starter-generator and synchronous exciter. The electric motor meets the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 001/2011.
